Istanbul Nişantaşı University has signed an international cooperation protocol (MoU) with San Francisco Bay University (SFBU), located in Silicon Valey, one of the world’s leading centres of technology and innovation. The protocol covers the development of new educational, research, and mobility opportunities for students and academics.
The two universities will work on dual degree programmes, Micro-Credential programmes, short-term academic and certificate programmes, as well as student and academic staff mobility. The collaboration also includes plans to develop joint research and scientific publications, offer courses taught by visiting faculty members, and implement international projects.
Educational Experience for Students in Silicon Valey
One of the key areas of the protocol is the development of new academic models that will enable Istanbul Nişantaşı University students to complete part of their studies in Silicon Valey. Through the planned programmes, students will have the opportunity to complement their academic knowledge with international experience in one of the world’s leading ecosystems for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), San Francisco Bay University offers academic programmes in various fields, including Computer Science, Business, and Psychology. With its location in Silicon Valey, SFBU provides an academic environment whr students can engage closely with the technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The protocol signed between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and SFBU is expected to provide a framework for a wide range of initiatives, from student and academic mobility to joint research, new educational models, and international projects. The collaboration aims to expand students’ access to global education and research networks, increase joint scientific output among academics, and strengthen academic ties with Silicon Valey’s technology ecosystem.
